id Software Hiring For Next Gen Console Game

Speaking of jobs in the gaming industry, id Software, purveyors of next week’s QuakeCon, are also hiring. They’ve posted a listing for UI Programmers to work on “an unannounced game on future-generation consoles.” No word on what this could be, but the requirements are telling:

At least 3 years of game development experience with multiple titles shipped
Extensive experience with scripting languages like Flash/Actionscript and working with 2d/3d UI frameworks
Experience with DirectX 11 a plus
Passion for making GREAT games, and being part of a GREAT team
Ability to contribute innovative ideas towards all aspects of game development
Must create amazing things with minimal oversight
Familiarity with id Software games, characters, brands and universes

Notice that “Familiarity with id Software games, characters, brands and universes”? I suppose this means it’s time to check the list of games here and start guessing. My wild speculation? Commander Keen. They’re bringing it back. Feel free to add yours in comments.
