It looks like Microsoft is finally handing out lifetime console bans instead of the usual temporary ban for morons who try to play online with an illegal copy of a game. In this case, the gamer attempted to play an illegal copy of Halo 3 online. When the game didn’t work properly online, he apparently contacted Microsoft’s technical department to help solve the problem. That may not have been the smartest move ever, but certainly not the most moronic one I have heard of in recent days.
The lesson to be learned here is very simple. If you have pirated games, do not attempt to go online with them. I thought that was common sense, but you never know with people these days.

That’s about as stupid as trying to do automatic updates with an illegal copy of Windows (whistling innocently).

Surely the message here should be to not pirate games at all?
Not just offline.
*sigh*
Its why the gaming industry loses millions of pounds/dollars a year and we end up with some quality titles under-selling.
