Inbound World War Z Game Based on Film Based on Movie?

Aren’t video game adaptations of film adaptations of books awesome?

No?

Well, Paramount Pictures filed a trademark for World War Z in the U.S. with the following classification: “downloadable electronic game program, electronic game software, and video game cartridges/discs.” World War Z is a 2006 post-apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks and is being adapted for the big screen, starring Brad Pitt.

The movie follows U.N. worker Gerry Lane as he searches the globe for information that can stop the zombie outbreak that is bringing down nations. The film is scheduled to be released on June 21, 2013.

I thought we reached the pinnacle of zombie games with Day Z.

We’ve reached out to Brad Pitt for comment.

I think it terrible that the movie completely misunderstands the whole book.

The writer of the film seems to only have read the first act of the book and missed the other two parts.

That or god forbid we have a trilogy of films with Brad Pitt pretending to be a U.N. representative.
