Indie Game “Cube World” Looks Charming (VIDEO)

“Cube World” is the working title of a voxel-based exploration RPG that’s been in the works since June 2011, the brainchild of a solitary developer that took inspiration from Minecraft, Zelda, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and a few other games. The game will have multiplayer support, and an alpha version of the game could be available as early as in a month. But for now, we’ll have to content ourselves with watching footage.

As harsh as this YouTube comment is, it’s spot on:

zelda and minecraft f***ed and this is their´╗┐ retarded stillborn fetus on the bloody sheets.

My initial thought upon seeing the video was, “Someone made a Zelda mod for Minecraft?”

Hrrrmmm. Didn’t this already exist for PS3? Think it was called “3D Dot Game Heroes”. But it’s cool how good this game looks, you know, for an indie game. ;p Actually looks better than 3DDGH. Aforementioned game made my eyes hurt. >.<
