Infamous: First Light Will Be 4-5 Hours Long
Infamous: First Light will contain about 4-5 hours of gameplay.
That, at least, is the claim of Sucker Punch’s Nate Fox. Fox, who directed both Infamous: Second Son and the soon-to-be-released DLC First Light, revealed the add-on’s length in a recent interview wherein he affirmed that gamers shouldn’t be “fooled” by its price.
“Don’t be fooled by the $14.99 price tag,” said Fox. “The campaign is about 4 to 5 hours long, but afterwards we unlock some new abilities and challenges for the player to achieve in the Battle Arenas.”
Talking further about First Light, Fox confirmed that it would be running at 1080p and 60fps just like its predecessor Second Son. He also stated that players can expect a fairly “dark” story in the DLC which fleshes out the history of Second Son character Fetch.
“First Light is pretty darn dark,” he sated. “Fetch’s life on the streets was tough, her time in Curdun Cay being trained as an assassin was equally rough. Through it all she’s still Fetch, no one can keep her down, but she has to fight her way out of some harsh situations.”
First Light, of course, will be releasing tomorrow on August 26th and will playable as a standalone product separate from Infamous: Second Son. Whether it will find the same level of success as the larger main game is something we’ll have to wait and see. That said, Fox seemed confident that player’s expressed “emotional [investment]” in Fetch will help the game succeed.
