Initiate Bruce Wayne in Batman: Arkham Origins Today

What would the Batman: Arkham series look like if the Dark Knight was replaced by a ninja? We can all find out today courtesy of Initiation, a challenge-map pack for Arkham Origins that puts young Bruce Wayne’s martial arts skills to the test.

A prequel to the prequel, Initiation features an even younger Bruce, a man who has yet to don the iconic cape and cowl. Here’s the rundown from WB:

Set high in the Paektu-San Mountains of North Korea, the Initiation Add-On follows a young Bruce Wayne as he faces his ultimate test.  Players will embark upon a series of challenge maps that test their martial arts training across exotic locales, including a bamboo forest and a mountain top monastery. Fans will face fresh enemies along with an epic final test to prove their worthiness to Bruce’s greatest and most pitiless teacher, Kirigi.

Initiation features four challenge maps, two new skins, and will be available for download for $7 (free for Season Pass holders) on Steam, Xbox Live, and PSN once those systems are updated for new content this afternoon.

As an aside, this is content Batman: Arkham Origins really could have used in the core game to make it actually feel like more of a true prequel story instead of an expansion to Arkham City. But hey, why give paying customers quality content when you can charge them extra for it? *Shaking fist at videogame publishers.

Anywho, here’s the trailer:

This is why I hate console gaming.

This should have been included in the game to begin with
Glad I didn’t buy this game.
