    Basic Tips & Recommended Attacks

Luthor’s massive suit is full of technological wonders built specifically to control the battlefield. He doesn’t hit fast or hard without using Meter Burn, but he can summon devices to trap the area, giving him more of an advantage. You’ll need to juggle his gadgets to use Luthor effectively.

Energy Shield (Character Power): Hold the character power button to charge Luthor’s shield. At higher levels, his shield will absorb attacks and reduce damage. Use this power to offset Luthor’s slow attack strings – if your opponent tries to interrupt, have a shield prepared.

Criminal Mind / Prototype (Combo): Two simple combos that are Lex’s bread and butter. Learn these and you’ll have a basic string of attacks that work in most situations.

World Domination (Combo): Take this hard-hitting variation when you’ve managed an opening in the opponent’s defense. You’ll dish out more damage, and it’s uncomplicated enough to remember.

Gravity Mine / Lex Probe: These simple devices are a good way to control the battlefield. The probe will appear and fire a shot – staggering your opponent for a moment. It’s a great way to ensure your attacks will land. The Mine, when thrown, lands behind a close-range opponent. Try knocking them into the device to stun them.

Lance Blast / Orbital Strike: Two basic ranged attacks that can force your opponent to move horizontally or vertically.

Corp Charge / Gravity Pull: Your basic specials for crossing distance and getting into close combat. Pull your enemies to you with Gravity Pull, or lunge forward with Corp Charge.

    VS Harley Quinn

Metropolis features a hovering police car near the center – use it against Harley. She won’t be able to throw it herself, but the AI has a hard time stopping stage hazards.

Harley is quick with her pistols, but they’re very low damage. It’s her giant hammer that you’ve got to worry about!

Beware Harley’s random character power. She can refill her health, throw bombs, and much more. She can be an unpredictable opponent, but Lex has a good selection of ranged attacks. Keep the pressure on with Lance Blasts and Orbital Strikes.

    VS Joker

If you thought Harley was unpredictable, get ready for Joker. Unlike Harley, Joker isn’t afraid to attack at melee range. He’s faster than Lex – everyone is – so prepare yourself.

Lex’s Corp Charge is surprisingly fast. Use it to end combos or surprise opponents. It’ll knock them back if it connects, allowing Lex to follow-up with Lance Blast or a Meter Burn Orbital Strike.

If you haven’t used Lex’s Meter Burn Orbital Strike, give it a try. It’s very deadly – thrown down a Mine to stun Joker, then hit him with a missile strike. It’s very satisfying.

    VS Hawkgirl

Outside the Hall of Justice, there’s a small roving robot. Use it to knock Hawkgirl back. If you wait around long enough, another bot will appear to replace the one you destroyed.

This is where Lex’s anti-air will become important. Lex has an airborne version of the Corp Charge, and a diagonal upward shot of Lance Blast, just reverse the motion. Use it to pluck Hawkgirl’s feathers – even the Orbital Strike will work very well.

You’ll need those gadgets here. Hawkgirl is a fast fighter, she’ll overwhelm Lex if you don’t use Probes, Mines, or Blasts to knock her back and give Lex some breathing room.

    VS Shazam

Don’t forget about Lex’s shield power! Charge it up to ignore Shazam’s attacks and take him by surprise. Use the various stage hazards for some quick damage, but then you’ll need to focus on combat.

Shazam is, naturally, faster than Lex. He has good ranged lightning and he can charge instantly forward that will ignore Lex’s mines. Use the Lance Blast or Probe instead.

    No character creation mode, bah..
Even Wrestling games have character creation mode.

Wrestling is technically a sport, so the introduction of new characters (hence, create a wrestler) is plausible. Injustice is a licensed franchise from DC and they would never allow a create-a-fighter option.

    @Theghost
But doing it in DC Universe online its ok right?

I’m just saying that I believe we have to break this barrier in gaming. I’m Hispanic and I wont buy this game or any fighting game that does not implement a character customization option. I don think its worth a 60 dollar price tag on something I can finish in a day without it having replay value. I mean there isn’t even an Asian superhero for crying out loud. Not to mention the1 token black guy.

I for one love games so much that these industries don’t care about catering to the player and that’s the reason no one is buying there games. Then they start whining that they didn’t hit there sales mark because they believe people are pirating. No its because they cater to one demographic.

While I appreciate the Character Game Guide (very useful)
I would prefer the guide to be in the format that you used for Mortal Kombat
ie One use a universal Key 1,2,3,4 for the buttons (or atleast make some sort of key so that we can id the difference between the X-Box 360 and PS3 versions) and
    secondly
Apart from just speaking out what you are inputting can you also write the combo down (just like you did in the MK Videos) That may be a lot easier for certain people (it certainly was for me) instead of trying to strain their eyes on what is on the side screen (ie the small display of buttons input display)

I hope that I haven’t offended anyone with any of my comments and I am wondering if you are going to put up anymore videos of characters in the future. Also please show Enhanced Versions of the Super Moves and can you also tell what are the Strengths and Weakness of a character. Ie Lex Luthor may be a strong character but has slow speed but doesn’t have that many combos etc… and who a said character has an advantage against and who he is weakened/disadvantage against.

I hope that you consider my suggestions and don’t consider my post as Spam even though it is in my name. :)

My Bad I carefully noted your videos after a couple of watching so I can now see the button display for the combos though a universal key might be a bit easier, it is still better than nothing.

Would like a lex luthor video as well.
Also the other suggestions though please consider them
