Intel Shows off New Anti-Cheating Technology

cheating.jpgThere should be laws against cheating in video games, mostly because I can’t stand the thought of an eleven year-old beating me.

Intel is making improvements on keeping cheaters out of gaming, as they recently unveiled some new technology to prevent cheating from occurring. The technology is in the form of hardware, and Kotaku held some skepticism about the advancement.

I would say, yes, any attempt at blocking cheating is better than none. Cheating, no matter how you look at it, is simply lame.

Except if it’s in Monopoly. Because, you know, you have to steal from the bank.

I agree with this… ‘a great idea in theory. In practice, though, I’d guess it would take cheaters about, oh, two seconds to bypass it and carry on with business as usual’.

    Cheating is lame?

I love watching people squirm and about to pull their own hair out over some game, and how they’re getting beaten in it.

That’s that majority of the reason people do it.

I think this new technology is lame. Cheating is just a way of having fun and relieving stress of getting stuck at some point in a game. For instance in Grand Theft Auto, i have to say, cheating is awesome. You have the choice of Jumping 100 ft in the air or take a jet pack and fly around the islands or spawn a jet and fly around or reak havoc around the cities.
Its just a part of the game. Cheating can help find a new level of fun. I don’t think this technology should be used. Even if this technology is used people will find new ways of cheating or modding the game.
