iPhone Hit Angry Birds Headed to PS3, DS, and PSP

Everyone is always talking about how many millions of copies the latest Call of Duty game has sold, but rarely do iPhone games get that kind of love. One of the few exceptions is Angry Birds, one of the best selling games ever on the iPhone.

In its first six months on the iTunes store, Angry Birds has sold more than 5 million copies to iPhone and iPad users, which makes it the fastest selling game ever on the iPhone.

In an attempt to capitalize on that success, Chillingo has announced that Angry Birds will be released on Nintendo DS, PSP, and the PlayStation 3.

There’s no word yet on when those versions will hit the market, or what their pricepoint will be (the iTunes version is only $0.99). Still, if you’re into addicting puzzle games, Angry Birds could be right up your alley, and you won’t have to own an iPhone to play it.
