Is Mass Effect 3 Actually Better With Kinect? (VIDEO)
So BioWare let some folks try out Mass Effect 3 with Kinect voice commands, and they made a video of some of those people orgasming over it. This is propaganda at its finest, but I guess we’ll find out what’s up for realz when we try out the demo in a few weeks. For now, just watch this video and see if it makes you want to get a Kinect. If it doesn’t, congrats! You aren’t a mindless, easily swayed individual.
While we’re talking about this, I have two reasons why Mass Effect 3 with Kinect will not work.
1. It won’t understand what you’re saying half the time. I have Kinect, and I like to do Bing searches with it. Why? Because most of the time it doesn’t understand what I’m saying and looks up something hilariously wrong.
2. It won’t be able to hear you. Kinect voice control for videos is a nice idea, but most of the time it doesn’t work for me because the video is too loud for the Kinect to be able to hear me yell at it to pause it. Considering you’ll be using voice commands in Mass Effect 3 during battles, it’s going to have trouble hearing you then, too, unless you just turn the sound way down.
