Is This the Playstation Phone? (PIC)

Engadget broke the Sony Ericsson Playstation Phone story back in August, and whoever their birdie is has landed them a look at what they say is a prototype of said phone. It’s got Android 3.0, a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM and 4-ish inch screen. And Playstation buttons. And that strange-looking area in the middle there? That’s a multi-touch touchpad, which means it probably would serve the same role as dual sticks on a regular DualShock. That’s quite awesome, assuming this is the real deal.

Engadget says you can realistically expect this thing to hit the market in 2011. Alongside the PSP2, perhaps?

I enjoy simple addicting games on my phone to pass time but don’t think I’d ever buy a phone for it’s gaming abilities. I think their will be a small market for the phone. Sony has to know this also. Some reason I don’t think it’s real.
