Isaac Clark will Be, Uh, ‘Different’ in Dead Space 3, Rumor Claims (SPOILER)

WARNING: Potential plot spoilers within.

In addition to going to an ice planet called Hoth Tau Volantis for the third installment of Dead Space, more new details are starting to come to light about Isaac Clark’s return to fight necromorphs and blow up religious artifacts with scary powers.

Dead Space 3 will see protagonist Clark saddled with a split personality, according to a report from Siliconera. In Dead Space 2, Isaac was dealing with a little bit of crazy, but this new report that in the next game he goes full-on Tyler Durdern, complete with a “Shadow Isaac” version of himself.

Okay, so this is a premise that has, as Jim Sterling has pointed out, gone on to the point of becoming hackneyed. However, I’m excited to see what Dead Space might be able to do with a heaping portion of crazy for Isaac, since it really didn’t get there in the last game. And hey, we all hate/are afraid of/are secretly incredibly curious about Shadow Link. And Prince of Persia had a pretty good time with the Dark Prince in Two Thrones.

So this is me, cautiously optimistic. What about you guys?
