It’s Coming: Mirror’s Edge 2 Surfaces at E3
While Mirror’s Edge 2′s existence has been outed time and time again with leaks galore, it was finally confirmed just moments ago during EA’s E3 press conference, where it was officially announced for next-gen consoles.
Electronic Arts unveiled a new trailer that appears to depict how Faith got her tattoos, which leads us to believe that the game—or at least part of it—may be a prequel to the original Mirror’s Edge. Faith herself sports a slightly new look, with a different hairstyle and a fuller face, though she remains largely the same character as before. Here’s the new trailer for your delight, and shock: after all, Mirror’s Edge didn’t sell 5 million copies, a minimum baseline EA seemed to establish for sequels last year.
All of the footage you see here was put together within the game’s engine. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next-generation consoles “when it’s ready.”
