General Mission Operation Orders

  • Know that not every merc you want to hire will want to work for you, at least until you have a few successful missions completed.
  • Take time to thoroughly get acquainted with the mercs available for hire, making note of these main deciding factors: their Attributes (Agility, Dexterity, Strength, Intelligence, Perception), their Skills (Medical, Explosives, Stealth, Mechanical, Marksmanship), and their Traits, which may affect specific Skills or the merc’s overall character.
  • For each mission, hire at least two mercs, in order to better cover the balance of potentially needed skills.
  • Take heed of their clothing and camouflage, as this will affect their stealth factor.
  • Not all mercs are competent at close quarters combat (CQB), and may freeze up when faced with a machete-wielding opponent in their face. Take this into consideration when equipping their weapons.
  • Be constantly aware of weapon effective ranges, and the aim time of each merc. Give your merc enough space to the enemy to aim precisely and to squeeze off enough shots to bring them down.
  • Learn the hotkeys! Be able to quickly pause the game, switch from merc to merc, and change orders, stances, and weapons on the fly. NOTE: The Set Stance keys (F1-F4) in the printed game manual are reversed from what’s actually in game; go by those as listed in game.
  • After securing a location, and on subsequent returns to that location, look for citizens with the FIST+ icon over their heads. These citizens may be given weapons and armor, and will defend their location against any attack.
  • Directions in this walkthrough (N, S, E, W, etc…) are and will stay based on the mission map being oriented the same as the world map. Hit the X key to auto-orient the camera angle N.
  • Have mercs with good Mechanical scores keep Weapon Oil, Cleaning Kits, and Tool Kits for repairing owned and looted weapons. Repaired weapons sell at a higher price, or may be given to a local citizen to defend a location with.
  • Save your game before and after each combat action!

Oookay… “Massive text walkthrough”… Is it written in invisible ink? Used Vaporware(tm) 2011 as the editor?

Excuse the dust.

If anyone has a specific question or needs some help — you’re in luck. I’m a tactical genius, and I’ll help with Jagged Alliance anyway I can until we’ve got some technical issues sorted out.

Ask away. Don’t worry, we know this game is hard — especially just starting out.

First of all, i must be old because i loved the first one when it was new..lol, second Kevin do you know if you can make your custom merc in this one …??

On February 23, 2012 at 2:45 am

you dont get your own merc. overall this remake rocks – i got retro fever for days playing this…

For me, thinking overall satisfaction, its a 70%. They , like many others before them, rushed it. You don’t have your custom merc, you can’t train nither militia or your mercs, there are no other sites besides AIM and Bobby Ray’s, and fore some stupid reason you can’t delete your e-mails [or I did not see yet how] !!

Hi there guys…

I cleared drassen and Ira is already on my team (fitted with a looted mp5) but neither she nor the priest told me anything about the rebel leader, which continues to be an open quest in the laptop, stating only that I should talk to the priest.

Any ideas what went wrong and how can I sort that out?

I had other mission only to perform, liberate more mines but I am not able to find any near the cities they told me. My guess is that I need to find the rebel leader first.

The easyest solution is to start from scrach…lol.
Second, try kicking Ira out of your team. The priest is inside the church. Miguel has his rebel base West of Cambria , go west from the farm were Skyrider heli. went down.

You can train your Millita just click on the City where they or a Hide out or Sam site, after having given them guns bit tedious that and you can level them up to level 5 for cash.

Also, is there a website that has all the details of hidden items or items located in obscure locations of each map?
