Join the Resistance in the Enemy Front Teaser

Enemy Front was going to be Creative Director Stuart Black’s (Black) action-packed return to shooters, featuring a super soldier on a Europe-hopping, epic World War II adventure.

That’s what it was going to be, anyway, before Black left City Interactive in late 2012. Based on the somber new teaser trailer, Enemy Front has since become something completely different.

Now players will become American war correspondent Robert Hawkins and join resistance fighters opposing the Nazi regime. One of the main battlegrounds will be Poland’s Warsaw Uprising, and that’s the focus of the teaser for what’s now a non-linear, story driven FPS with options to run-and-gun, snipe, go stealth or sabotage:

Black left CI over “creative differences” on Enemy Front, and it’s clear CI has taken the shooter in a very different direction. Of note, Black said he wanted to get away from the “reverential treatment” given to WWII in video games and make more of a Dirty Dozen/Where Eagles Dare-like action adventure. Looks like we’re back to reverential.

Enemy Front is set for launch on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in TBA 2014.

I see CI want to do great game about WWII and focused on Warsaw Uprising. Trailer definitely shocking, I mean a positive shock. Enemy Font will be game with history facts. For me it’s great idea. I want this game and hope release will be soon as possible.

Trailer very strong. I admire the courage. The most and so I like the fact put in the game of Polish history. This is quite a new phenomenon in games of WWII. I love games on this subject. So now their little. CI presents quite a decent fps. I keep my fingers crossed for EF and CI.

Yes great trailer to great game:) I realy want to see another gameplay before release date but I don’t know that is possible. I read some information about multiplayer in this game and I’m glad to know in Enemy Front will be Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch my favourite:D

wow! just saw the gameplay, I have not seen the teaser before, it seems to me that the game will also have a good story! I’ve never played a game related to the WWII storyline which took place in Poland. Guess I’ll have to be patient and wait for June 10th ..

You’re not alone, I also had no contact with the subject. I wonder how it will look Warsaw, from what they said they tried to faithfully reproduce the area. And then there is an environment that does not remain indifferent to the war. Great for me;)

New play style is important becouse we have a lot of games about WWII some are worst some are better. If we look at this game something will be changed and reworked as I sad new play style, new opportunities.

I don’t think we can tell in Enemy Front is new play style because in all FPS games is the same play style. For me in Enemy Front we can chance to choice which combat technique we want to play and this is something new in games like this.

It’s great that we have a choice of combat style. This gives us extra just fun out of the game, because you can end in different ways. What I like most is the option of taking of hostages, I wonder what it will be used in the game … Someone has accelerant time :)

Yes I agree with you. Changing combat style we have much more opportunities to finished missions and all games. Big plus to CI Games for this solution. I think will be a lot of fun with Enemy Front.

It’s even more than certain that it will be a lot of fun with EF :) The story is IIWW is, different styles of fighting, the environment that responds ….. this is what Tiggers like best

After seeing this trailer, I played again in the SGW. I do not believe and do not believe it that this game may be failed. I just do not believe it! Trailer, gameplay, recalls the time when I played for hours killing Nazis. Once, there were other technologies, other technologies are now, everything is different, but if the game will not have a good story, even the latest technology will not help. This game has a great story!

Maybe it’s good thinks to play in SGW one more time before Enemy Front release date. But I can’t wait to June and EF. Hmmm…maybe buy some pre order will be fine:) I know new games have new technologies but if I remember good CryEngine is not very old.

I agree, I do not really interested so much graphics and how it all looks beautiful, but the content of the game, the story contained in it, and the possibility of killing Nazis Trailer :) by the way seems to be a version of the console, shown here for the function key “x” is a typical button on the console. so it is not so bad!

I play for fun and game should give me this i dont need extreme graphics too. I liked SGW2 and i’m sure that i will like EF. I can tell it from fragments from the game.

I see I’m not alone in my opinion about graphics in the game:) Maybe do you see news about Limited Edition of Enemy Front? ;) It will be nice, I can tell only in limited edition we will have additional mission. Rest of the information you need find alone:P
