Journey Gets Lost Until Spring 2012

The intriguing Playstation Network open world adventure that allows players to seamlessly jump into each other’s games, Journey, isn’t coming out in 2011. Bummer.

According to the Official Playstation Blog, the title from thatgamecompany has been delayed until spring of next year. After running a closed beta recently, it sounds like the game is in good shape and getting good feedback — we liked what we saw when we got a chance to mess with it at Comic-Con this year. Seems like there’s just too much left to do and not enough time left to do it in for a 2011 release date, and the impression from the PS Blog post is that the 2011 date was never all that firm to begin with.

TGC is opting to play it safe now rather than throw out a date it isn’t sure it can hit, sounds like. I suppose that’s not too disappointing.
