Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod Gets a Release Date

Just Cause 2 did a lot of things right, making the island of Panau a fun place to travel for gamers who just want to blow up everything. But one thing developer Avalanche Studios didn’t even try to do was multiplayer. A group of modders has been working for three years to remedy that omission, and their fantastically frantic finished product is finally nearing release.

The mod team announced that the final beta test is this weekend, and if all goes as planned, the Just Cause 2 Multiplayer mod will open to all on December 16. Oh, and it’s coming to Steam.

“It’s been a long run, but we’re finally ready to release JC2-MP to everyone,” the modders stated in a post on the official JC2 Multiplayer forum.

If you’re interested in taking part in the final beta test, and getting an early chance to see what 600-player open world multiplayer madness is like, download your JC2 Multiplayer beta key (registration required).

Otherwise, we’ll see you on Steam on December 16.
