Just So We’re Clear, Command and Conquer Generals 2 Isn’t Really Being Developed by BioWare

On Saturday we learned that Command & Conquer Generals 2 exists, and that it’s being developed by BioWare. But is BioWare really behind it? Not really, at least not if you’re thinking of the group that made those RPGs you love so much.

C&C Generals 2 is being developed by BioWare Victory, which is the studio formerly known as Victory Games, which is made up of the folks who made the other EA-branded Command & Conquer games. I just point this out so you don’t think the franchise is going in some new, exciting direction. It’s still the folks who made C&C 4 who are making this game.

That is all.

Well, that doesn’t make me too happy at all =/

C&C4 was the worse game of the franchise, in my opinion at least. I will just keep a watch on this one to see how it will differ from the that one and see if they do something amazing under BioWare’s leadership.

Well theres goes any hope of it being any good.

EA is really milking biowares good name by taking these crap studios and adding ”Bioware” infront of them.

Who knows, if they take the core concept of generals and just improve on it, it might be good. If they re-work generals gameplay to how cnc4 was it will be garbage.

C&C3 was pretty good, C&C4 not so much. Just gonna have to wait and see on this one.

this franchise. Seriously, it. I played the outta this franchise more than most people have and I’m just SICK of it!

Ever since EA got there stupid ing hands on it it’s been crap, save for the OG Generals and Zero Hour.

Everything since has sucked ass.

Furthermore, motherers, is that until they move on from that IG HORRID Aurora Engine I’ll never buy another game. It’s the Call of Duty of strategy games!

C&C3 and Kane’s Wrath was good, lengthy, a lot of good slogging missions, a neat ‘bonus’ side; what’s the problem? Weakest C&C was Tiberium Sun but that’s probably because I was discovering the awesomeness of Earth 2150 at the same time and TS seemed so awfully primitive in comparison.

Red Alert 3 was so-so, far too many scripted and limited scenarios.

C&C4 was an abomination from the boring FMV, terrible plot and stupendously bad gameplay that threw out everything C&C was.

If the same ghouls that made that trash are making Generals 2 then goodnight, unless they learn that you don’t make a C&C RTS with 10 units per side and no base building.

It is NOT the same people who made C&C4. Almost all of them where fired before and after C&C was released. Get your facts straight please.
