It seemed inevitable that with both Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 set to release later this year, one of them had to go. And by go, I mean be delayed. And delay they have, as Killzone became the fall guy, Sony announced today at PlayStation Day. Rather than have the two big PS3 exclusive shooters compete for gamers’ dollars this holiday season, Killzone 2 is now purportedly scheduled to release in February 2009.
On the bright side, 1UP‘s got four gorgeous new screenshots of the game for you to check out. Although looking at them might actually might make the wait much harder to deal with. Hey, I tried to warn you.
