Killzone 3 Officially Announced in a Print Magazine. Yes, Really.

Well I feel pretty dumb now.  Earlier today I was all like, “Is this a Killzone 3 screenshot?” And now, it looks like the new GamePro landed in some folks’ mailboxes today, and Killzone 3 is featured very prominently. It kinda feels like it’s the early 90s all over again, what with a AAA title being officially announced via a print magazine. Really! Think about how weird that is.

A forum poster over at GameSpot took pictures of the feature and provided a quick-and-dirty rundown of the details. And it looks like that screenshot I posted earlier today is legit, since the feature shows some other shots of snowy environs. The bigger deal, I guess, is that the game will be 3D-capable, if you’re into that kind of thing. Also, there are jetpacks. (Is it too early to say that Dark Void started a fad?)

For more, head over to that GameSpot thread or buy a copy of GamePro. Yeesh, what a day.

You should probably change that title to Killzone 3 instead of Killzone 2
