Killzone 3 Getting Multiplayer Beta on October 25

Can’t wait to get your grubby little paws on Killzone 3? Sony’s got a little something to whet your appetite.

They’ve just announced that there will be a multiplayer beta for the upcoming shooter, and that it will start on October 25th. If you want to be a part of it, there are a few hoops to jump through.

First, you’ll have to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Then, you’ll need to download a special XMB theme that will be available on the PSPlus section of the PSN store starting October 14.

Once you accomplish that, it becomes a waiting game. Only 10,000 participants will be selected, with each being notified by email.

The beta will contain the Operations game type, party system, jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles. It will also be the home of hardcore Killzone fans until the game launches in February 2011. If you make it into the beta, come back and let us know what you think about it.

Until then, you can check out the Killzone 3 GamesCom Multiplayer Trailer and the Killzone 3 Teaser Trailer to get an idea what’s in store for those who are lucky enough to get into the beta.
