Killzone Attempts to Out-Drama Its Peers With Story Trailer

It’s been a good week or so of story trailers for the next four weeks of mega-budget shooters heading to next-gen consoles, what with Call of Duty: Ghosts blowing things up and Battlefield 4 punching dogs as a metaphor for punching Call of Duty. And today we have a neat trailer for Killzone: Shadow Fall that advertises its plot rather intriguingly, giving us a glimpse into the sort of cold war that exists on Vekta between the natives and those Helghast who escaped the burning of the surface of their planet at the end of Killzone 3. It’s very dramatic.

This new Killzone is thus far the top-ordered exclusive for the new consoles, and Amazon briefly opening up orders today for the Launch Day PS4 bundled with the game probably boosted that cause a bit. I blame the ridiculously detailed cityscapes for that.

Now, imagine seeing what you just saw through a virtual reality headset.
