Kojima Productions Beefing Up LA Studio Staff

Here’s a true thing, everyone. Los Angeles is a overcrowded, traffic-choked dystopian nightmare in which the dreams of credulous, naive yokels are crushed on a daily basis. These poor fools are forced to learn over and over that, nope, they’re not going to be the next 20 million dollar actor. The air is awful, the rents are too damn high, and the weather, lacking anything remotely close to ‘winter’, is just the worst! So stay away, people who live elsewhere, and don’t even think about moving here.

OK, are the rest of the country’s readers gone? Good.

OH MY GOD EVERYONE KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS IS HIRING IN LOS ANGELES!!!! OH MY GOD THEY’RE TOTALLY BEEFING UP THEIR STAFF AEEEEEIIIIII! WE SHOULD ALL APPLY SO WE CAN WORK TOGETHER AND IT WILL BE SO COOL ESPECIALLY SINCE WEST SIDE WEATHER IS GREAT!

Ahem.

Last February, Kojima Productions announced they were considering opening a new studio in the LA area, if, they said at the time, they can find the right people (whatever that means). It seems they’ve decided they can find them, and as of September 11, they’ve posted 9 listings for their LA branch. If you’re an environmental artist, a character artist, a gameplay programmera cinematic artist, a concept artist, a game level designer, a lighting artist, a tools programmer or an animator, they’re looking for someone like you.

The listings don’t say anything about the game being produced, aside from references in one listing to experience making 3D action games. I would bet 50 bucks it’s either a new Metal Gear game, or something else entirely. Because BRAVE PREDICTIONS FOR THE FUTURE. Could this be the industry shaker they were talking about? Why not!

Anyway, if you live in LA, maybe you ought to apply. Via Gamespot.
