What is looking to be a promising game is now a disappointing delay. Lair has been pushed back from August 14th to September 4th by Sony because QA testing has shed some light on a few problems the game would otherwise have had at launch.
“Natural challenges that arose while finalizing the offline game to include key online features – such as leaderboards and medal systems – have led to the difficult choice of pushing back the release date. We appreciate everyone’s excitement and patience for the game and look forward to its release on September 4,” Ryan Hamlyn, Associate Producer of SCEA, said.
At least it’s only a few weeks. Keep in mind that there are games which we all expected to come out years ago for which we now have given up hope. These may or may not have included a certain game by Blizzard which may or may not have been an offshoot of the most awesome RTS game ever.
