Largest EVE Confirmed Kill Loses Player over $6000

One unfortunate Eve Online player has reportedly lost over $6,000 worth of virtual products when his ship — and its contents — were destroyed.

The player was trying to transport a huge cache of valuable blueprints worth over 213,000,000,000 ISK when his meager little ship was decimated. That much ISK could currently buy roughly 367 30-day game time codes at approximately 580 million ISK apiece, for a combined total of over 30 years of game time. In order to buy that much game time with real money, one would have to pay about $6,422.50 US.

The value of this kill may be even higher than the reported figure, because blueprint copies aren’t factored in and several of them are actually worth billions of ISK. This may not only be the largest confirmed kill in EVE — it could be the most expensive character death in any MMO, ever.

It feels good to destroy someone in PvP in a game. It feels even better when this causes some permanent loss to the opponent. I imagine that causing such a huge loss and distress to the opponent must feel amazing!

Goodness, talk about rage quitting, would be really interested to know if player would ever play the game again after being so traumatized……Though the plight for the player was horrible there is something so funny about it at the same time…..

I hope one day before I die there is a game that you have first person shooter where you have to build up a civilization. Day-z like but rocket said it cant be done in his game. All the barb wire and sand bags got out of control. I just wish there was a fps survival game that could be 1 server like EVE.

Build up your town and put all the resources you can collect inside it. Be able to have a descent AI troops that defend your area when you aren’t there(At a cost of course). Some would work together to rebuild the world. Others would just prey on these towns. Most likely people would do both.

Day-Z is a good step toward that but without being able to be on one server with the ability to build towns imo it just falls short.

Just my 2 cents.
