Lead Writer Tweet Hints At New SWTOR Content

It seems Electronic Arts and BioWare will be supporting Star Wars: The Old Republic after all. In the wake of news that SWTOR is going free to play this fall, now comes news, via SWTOR lead writer Hall Hood, that players will soon have more to do. Hall yesterday posted a tweet hinting very strongly that we’ll soon be seeing brand new content:

“SIS Intel Report: Rumors indicate Czerka research vessel ‘Theoretika’ has been located by deep-space salvage team. Investigating.”

Many players thought he was announcing something that was live immediately, forcing Hood to clarify, saying “I was only giving a little preview of future content. I would never announce an in-game event on Twitter.” So there you go. Soon, something to di with the “Czerka research vessel” will be coming to SWTOR players. We’ll keep our eyes on the ground for this one.

Oh so another flashpoint, neglecting the fact the game still lacks end game content(outside of GRINDING) along with engine optimizations? BRILLIANT

I actually think it would be an interesting way to cause something to go viral…. announcing an in game event on Twitter.

Have the text flash on the screen for those in game, and tweet it at the same time. New way for viral marketing.
