League of Legends’ New Cinematic Features Familiar Champs

Riot Games never disappoints with their cinematics. Their latest, titled, “A New Dawn,” released earlier today, and it follows along with their trend of awesome.

It’s the sort of trailer that causes old users to fall in love with the game all over again and perks new users’ curiosity. When the “Twist of Fate” cinematic was released it showcased the game’s champions in a team fight that was not only exciting, but also great at motivating you to really dive in and play League of Legends. It’s really something special to watch some of your favorite champions going head to head and hoping they prove superior.

In their “Behind The Scenes,” video, Riot explains why they love making cinematics like this. The company explains that not only is this cinematic in higher definition, but also that they really focused on the details of the characters, such facial expressions and their movement. The video also explains how the sounds were created to help tell the story of the battle and how the music played a major role in personifying the characters.

This cinematic showcases a team fight with some different play styles such as baiting enemies into the jungle and knowing when to take an axe for your carry. Each character is given responses to the things that are happening during the fight that really suit their nature. Without any words the characters give you a sense of their personality as they fulfill the impressions given to you by their descriptive lore or even just by playing them in game and hearing their taunts, jokes, and other phrases. It is almost like reading a book and having the characters portrayed exactly as you imagined them.

The facial expressions, details, music, and sound effects in this cinematic really bring to life the characters of League of Legends. Hopefully they will keep making videos with like this so that they can cover all of the champions. It really creates a sense of wonderment for what this “New Dawn,” and Season 5 could hold for The League of Legends.
