League of Legends Getting Russian Localization

The folks at Riot games announced that League of Legends will finally be getting a long-awaited official Russian launch.

“We are looking forward to delivering fully localized service and support, and we are optimistic that the passionate community of Russian-speaking PC gamers will embrace League of Legends,” said Brandon Beck, co-founder and CEO of Riot Games, in a statement.

Fully localized service will include dedicated Russian servers, so this isn’t just language support. Y’all are actually getting the real s–t here. Congrats.

League of Legends is currently available across the rest of Europe in English, French, German, Spanish and Polish. No word on when this Russian launch will take place, other than that it will happen this year.
