Leaked Image Appears To Confirm Alien: Isolation Rumors

Game over man, game over! possibly starting, man. Purported concept and cover art from a new video game set in the Alien universe has leaked online, and the images appear to confirm rumors from earlier this fall that the game will indeed be called Alien: Isolation.

As reported in October, Fox recently trademarked the name Alien: Isolation. Anonymous sources cited by Kotaku said at the time that this was a game in development by Total War: Rome II developers The Creative Assembly. Reports held also that the new game will feature a return to the Alien series’ horror roots, and center around Amanda Ripley, daughter of film series-protagonist Ellen Ripley.

Though The Creative Assembly and parent company Sega refused to confirm or deny those reports, Creative Assembly did announce work on an untitled Alien game in 2011. If the leaked images, which first appeared on Neogaf over the weekend, are real, they confirm that this untitled game is indeed Alien: Isolation.

When reached for confirmation of the image’s legitimacy, Sega declined to comment.
