Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 Coming To Mac

Gaming has never been the big draw of owning a Mac, but Valve has been slowly working to change that perception. First they released Steam on the Mac, then they started releasing games like Team Fortress 2 and 57 other titles.

Now, they’ve announced that they’ll be bringing zombies to the Mac as well, with both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 headed to the platform. Left 4 Dead 2 will be released alongside The Sacrifice DLC on October 5th, with Left 4 Dead running a little behind but planned to be out by the end of October.

Says Valve on the Left 4 Dead site,

Left 4 Dead 2 will be released on the Mac Tuesday October 5th. If you already own it on the PC, then you own it on the Mac. All you need to do is install it on your Mac and start playing.

If you don’t already own it, now is a great time to pick it up. Not only do you get Left 4 Dead 2 but steam owners get all the previously released DLC for free! So you get the original 5 Campaigns and “The Passing”, “The Sacrifice” and “No Mercy.” Best of all, there is already a thriving community and excellent community created campaigns waiting for you.

Steam continues to excite Mac owners, and with good reason. We wish you all the zombie-killing goodness that we’ve had. Enjoy.
