Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC Hits Xbox 360 Aug. 3rd

“We are set for the title update and the Cold Stream DLC will release this Friday.” Such was the tweet from @l4ddev, the development team behind Left 4 Dead 2. They’re referring to the Xbox 360 version, of course, as the Cold Stream content has been available to PC and Mac gamers (for free) since July 24th. The reason for the delay is not entirely clear, with Valve having previously stated simply, “we are working with MS on a release schedule.”

The DLC pack, which includes a brand new campaign as well as the four remaining campaigns from the original Left 4 Dead (Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air, and Death Toll), will cost 560 Microsoft Points, or $7. Given all the vitriolic opinions flying around about this, it makes me worry about how we’ll get along should the real zombie apocalypse ever occur. Until then, just have fun out there, people.
