Left 4 Dead 2 PC Users Get Early DLC
Oh Valve. Always with your early release metagame shenanigans. This time around, the impish gaming behemoths requested that people play the hell out of their Left 4 Dead 2 “Cold Stream” campaign. If 20,000 people got the “Stream Crosser” achievement for completing it, Valve would release their updated version of the original Left 4 Dead’s “Dead Air” campaign early.
Well, more than 60,000 people earned “Streamed Crosser,” so zombie-mangling fans of Left 4 Dead 2 can look forward to “Dead Air” on or around July 22nd. Note that this perk is only available for PC users of the game. Also, the final version of the forthcoming Cold Stream DLC will include a user-created, community-tested map — thanks again to the PC Left 4 Dead community. Hooray for Personal Computers!

And to think Valve wanted their DLC to be free, but it was Microsoft that insisted on making a profit.
