Left 4 Dead ‘The Sacrifice’ DLC Coming October 5

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of the newest DLC for Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, and now its release is imminent.

Valve has announced that The Sacrifice will be released on on Tuesday, October 5. The Sacrifice will be available for both L4D and L4D2, and will follow the survivors as they make their way South. It will also feature a brand new option for players called “Sacrificial Gameplay,” that will allow players to decide who will give their life to allow the others to survive in the finale.

Both the L4D and L4D2 versions of the game are playable in Campaign, Versus, Survival, and Scavenge modes and both will feature the Left 4 Dead 2 Special Infected, items, and weapons. In addition, Left 4 Dead 2 owners will receive Left 4 Dead’s “No Mercy” campaign.

Valve is certainly delivering on their promise to continue to roll out content for both L4D and L4D2. I’m just looking forward to choosing which survivor dies so the rest of us can live. Sorry, Louis.
