Legend Of The Galactic Heroes Turns Sins Of A Solar Empire Into Classic Anime Unobtanium

We Brake For Nobody Sticker Not Pictured

You know what sucks? There has never been an English Translation of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and I don’t understand Japanese, that’s what. LOGH is a classic series of sci fi novels/manga/anime that’s 50% Edward Gibbons and 50% Star Wars and features Prussian looking Japanese warlords… IN SPAAAACE. So, yeah. Fortunately, someone out there feels like I do, and they modded 2008 RTS Sins Of A Solar Empire into Entitled Sea Of Stars, a pretty cool approximation of the Galactic Heroes universe.

Sea Of Stars reduces the economic and research aspects of SOASE and emphasizes combat strategy. The goal is to recreate the space opera of the series from which the mod gets its name – The first anime adaptation of LOGH was called “My Ocean is a Sea of Stars”. Sea of Stars isn’t as good as the official LOGH RTS released in Japan back in 2008, but if you’re desperate for a fix that doesn’t require you to learn Hiragana, it’ll do. This teaser footage, released back in January, will give an approximation of the game.
