Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Walkthrough

Table of Contents

Koloktos and Nayru’s Wisdom

  1. After the cut scene, you will enter a boss battle against an ancient mechanical warrior known as: Koloktos.
  2. Approach the robotic enemy at close range, then wait for him to swing an axe down towards you and execute a dodge so that the blade becomes embedded in the floor. Target the mechanical limb that’s currently stuck in the ground and use your whip to pull it off of Koloktos’ body.
  3. Amputate another of the boss’ arms by repeating the previus method, then retreat to a far distance from Koloktos and be ready to evade the twin blades he will eventually throw your way. Wait for Koloktos to sprout two back-up appendages and pound them into the ground like hammers, then dash towards him and use the whip to remove both arms embedded in the floor.
  4. Move in even closer to the boss and repeatedly strike the red symbol on his chest with your sword until a cut scene activates in which Koloktos is able to rebuild himself. Pull off one of the lower arms as you did before, then quickly retreat to evade and dodge the boss’ swinging punches afterwards.
  5. Remove Koloktos other lower extremity and retreat, then wait for him to pound the ground with two new arms before moving in to amputate both of those as well. Strike the red symbol on the boss’ chest again until he rebuilds, then dodge constantly to avoid the swinging swords and retreat at the next opportunity.
  6. Ignore the wave of three enemies that Koloktos’ calls upon and approach him at close range, then dodge the next three-armed attack and use your whip to remove all the limbs now embedded in the ground. Pick up an enormous sword that was dropped from one of the mechanical hands you just amputated, then move in towards the boss and hack off both of his legs in one slash.
  7. Strike Koloktos repeatedly with the large sword until he finally explodes in defeat, then collect the Heart Container from his remains and exit the room. Approach the crest on the altar ahead, then strike it with a blast of light energy to upgrade your sword and return to Lake Floria.
  8. After speaking with the Water Dragon, return to the sky and navigate your Wingloft back into the Thunderhead area. Fly above the Isle of Songs again and land on it safely by using the Sailcloth, then cross the bridge and enter the tower through the crawlspace on the other end.
  9. Once inside the tower, move forward into the next open room and stand on the circular floor symbol. Strike the crest ahead with a blast of light energy, then listen to clues pertaining to the sacred flames and learn Nayru’s Wisdom on your harp to complete this part of the game.

Hi,
Just wated you to know that I play on grandsons games at times. I loved ALL the videos of Lengend of Zelda Sklyward Sword!

Love the way you also improvise the actions and characters.
Make it sound real:)

Thought I would just say it all here instead of comenting on each individual video.

Continue the great work, this helps quite a bit in knowing what to do and how to do it, in this game. I would have been lost without these videos. Visualizations are great.

I was up to getting the whip and discovered there are no more videos. Sure am hoping you will continue them. Feel like I am having a withdrawel moment here! LOL

This was a grwat idea for you to do this. Best walkthrough ever!

I just wanted to give kudos to Mitchell for the great job with the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword videos. They are not only easy to follow but also entertaining. Makes you feel like you are playing along with him.
I am 50 yrs old and play this with my 9 yr old grandson.
Great job Mitchell!

Barbara – if you look around the edge of the screen, you can see a set of arrows that point towards where the bird with the statue is, if you lose track of it. One arrow means that the bird is close, but off screen. Two arrows means it is far away, but off screen. Move Link toward the direction the arrows are pointing, and you’ll see the yellow bird icon show up. From there, climb higher than the yellow bird to be able to dive down onto it and gather speed. Don’t use your boosts (A-button) until you get closer to the yellow bird. Good luck!

Hi,
I recently came back to the game, skyward sword cause I never finished it.
Unfortunately, I am stuck in the sky keep. I got lost with those puzzle rooms. I did good at first following you, but then it seems like you may have skipped a part cause I could not find the next puzzle you did, only the one after.
I really love the way you explain things and otherwise you have made it so easy to follow. I am hoping you will be able to fill in the gap if you have time. I probably have to start over. I need the room with the lava for the last tri force. But the puzzles seem all mixed up and I end up like a circle over and over.
You are great at this, keep up the good job! :)
