    1. As the game starts, you’re in the playground with Harry and Dudley. Harry has magic at his disposal, so start shooting at anything you can see.
    2. The playground is covered in fun toys to play with. Try using the slide, the swing set, the teeter-totter, the trampoline, or the ever bigger slide.
    3. There are more objects to play with here, like a jungle gym requiring Weasley’s sticky trainers, and a pet to dig up the sand pit. Ignore that for now.
    4. You need to escape the playground. Use Harry to move the pushes by the fence, he can move both with magic. Stand near each bush, there are two, and it will become highlighted automatically with a purple glow. Hold down the magic button to move both, and reveal an orange handle.
    5. Only strong characters can interact with orange handles. Switch to Dudley, and grab hold of the handle. Hold the button down until the gate breaks.
    6. Through the gates, use Dudley to tug on the front bumper of the wrecked car. It’ll break into Lego bricks.
    7. Switch back to Harry, and use his magic to move the hopping bricks to form a bridge. Cross the bridge and pull open the second gate with Dudley’s super-strength!
    8. Reaching the underpass, you’ll spot a purple length of Lego bricks. Over the purple space are two shopping carts full of more Lego. Hold down the attack button to aim Harry’s magic, and strike each of the two shopping carts.
    9. Now with three colored blocks on the ground, use Harry’s magic to move one or two of them onto the purple Lego surface. The large blocks will lock into place, use them to jump up onto the concrete platform below the road.
    10. Run into the tunnel to face off against an army of ghosts. Just keep launching magic attack, but you won’t be able to hold them off forever! Eventually one ghost will get to Dudley.
    11. After a short cutscene, Harry will be back on his broomstick and flying over London. Enjoy the ride, and try to follow the Lego pieces. Collect as many as you want, if you really want to go for a high score, keep a lookout for the Lego diamonds, usually with a Blue or Purple piece in the center. Those are worth more points.
    12. There will be a problem as you near Big Ben. The wizards will crash-land, and you’ll need to rescue three of them in this fountain courtyard.
    13. This time, Harry is with Kingsley Shacklebolt. His magic is nicely explosive, give it a try!
    14. In the back left corner of the courtyard, you’ll find a large Lego tree. Use magic from either Harry or Kingsley to move the large purple plant pieces near the tree. Move both into position, and the tree will be cut down, freeing one of the wizards!
    15. In the fountain, one of the teachers is stuck inside, but you’ll need every wizard available to save him, don’t even bother playing with the statues around the fountain just yet.
    16. Move towards the foreground of the yard, just left of the fountain. You’ll spot three Lego fixtures marked in purple. Remember that anything made of Lego and purple can be moved and attached to a surface. Move all three pieces onto the wheel barrow to free another wizard teacher!
    17. To the right of the fountain, you’ll find two things – a gazebo and a pond. In the pond you’ll find a little boat and dragon, you can ride around inside if you want!
    18. Just left of the gazebo, you’ll see a shed with a metal lock. Use Kingsley’s explosive magic to smash the lock and let the brown Lego bricks fall out. Use magic on the bouncing bricks to construct them!
    19. They construct into a hammer? Use magic on the hammer, and move it to your teach, stuck in the roof of the gazebo. She’ll be free in no time. Now to return to the central fountain.
    20. Use magic on the two free statues, and Mad-Eye will be popped out of the fountain. Now you just need to find his staff.
    21. You’ll find the statue on the path just right of the fountain. Pick it up and give it back, he won’t help you without it.
    22. Now that Mad-Eye Moody is with you, take the steps up and out of the courtyard, leading right up onto the street.
    23. You’ll see a glowing red mark on the ground. Use Moody to magic that red mark, and you’ll reach another cutscene.
    24. Arthur will take Harry underground to the secretive wizarding world. Down the hallway, you’ll see a blue broom-holder shooting out sparks. Arthur Weasley can fix that, just get near it and hold down the magic button.
    25. The brooms will magically clean the nearby chimney, dropping some extra parts. The hopping Lego bricks can mean only one things – construction! Build the pieces to repair the Floo Network Fireplace. Interact with it to teleport to an all new location.
    26. Continue into the city, where you’ll be shown a very large gate with some missing gears. Start by walking over to the fountain, and using magic on the big red Lego valve.
    27. With the water flow stopped, some hopping bricks will drop nearby. Construct those bricks!
    28. The bricks will form a paper plane. Magic the plane to send it into the security office, and the large gate will open. No problem, right? Run through the open gate and into the next area.
    29. Inside the elevator room, there’s a wizard missing his precious toad. Well, you’ll need to find it for him. To the right of the wizard, you’ll find a smokey /sparking elevator door with blue Lego bricks. Use Arthur to fix the broken elevator.
    30. Inside the elevator, use magic on the briefcase to spill out the contents. Inside is a toad! Pick it up and return it to the sad wizard.
    31. With his toad, the wizard will magic open his box and spill out some hopping bricks. Construct them into a control panel for the open elevator ahead. It’s easy to spot, it’s the elevator with green Lego bricks inside.
    32. Connect the golden Lego switch to the green Lego brick inside the elevator using your magic. Once connected, use a little magic again to ride down.
    33. Watch the ensuing cutscene, and Harry will be free to go back to Hogwarts again.
    34. Starting a new level of the story, Harry will reunite with Ron and Hermione. Run down the street, there’s a lot to see, but most of it seems inaccessible or under construction. You’ll have a chance to return very soon, so don’t worry too much.
    35. Instead, run down the street until you find a wall of Lego blocks. Use your magic while standing on the red floor mark to open the wall and continue forward.
    36. Follow the ghostly Lego pieces towards the blue ghostly markers. Entering the indoor building, head for the door marked with the large blue clear pointer.
    37. Back on the London streets, follow the ghostly Lego pieces into the foreground and toward a subway entrance. Magic the entrance open and run down the steps!
    38. Follow the ghost down the platform, until you run into a Lego man in need of a ticket. Past him, you’ll find a blue Lego ticket booth, just use some magic and a ticket will come out. Pick up the ticket, and deliver it to the Lego Conductor.
    39. Board the train, and you’re off to Hogsmeade. As you arrive, you’ll have Luna Lovegood with you. But, the goal remains the same, follow those ghostly blue see-through Lego pieces!
    40. Before leaving the train station, there are a few things you can do. With Harry, look around for five flag-holding poles. You can repair all five on the platform with magic, which will unlock the Station Guard Lego minifigure.
    41. Above the station, you’ll see a large Lego clock. Use magic to knock it down and find a Gold Brick!
    42. Now, when you’re ready, head through the station and down the woodland path. On the path, you’ll be attacked by little mushroom guys, just magic them up to avoid being hurt.
    43. Down the path, you’ll see a black Lego carriage missing it’s wheels. To the right of the carriage, use magic to move the bushes and climb the upper path to find a wrecked carriage. Use magic on it to find the first missing wheel. Return the wheel to the carriage on the main road.
    44. Now, there’s still another wheel that needs to be found. It’s nearby, stuck on a bush just to the left of the carriage! Shoot the bush with magic, then pick up the wheel and insert it into the carriage. Now that the carriage is repaired, jump on to ride it through the gate.
    45. There’s not much you can do in this area, come back to explore more later. For now, follow the ghostly Lego pieces through the pathway leading to the ghostly pointer. Head inside and you’ll return to Hogwarts, for real!
    46. After the cutscene, you’ll appear in Harry’s bunk. Go ahead and leave the room, following the big ghostly pointer to the exit. Run through the lounge and follow the ghost right into.. a wall?
    47. You need to get through the wall, but a schoolgirl is blocking your way. She wants flowers, lucky for Harry and her, there are flowers nearby, in a pot just to the right of the lounge chairs. Pick up the flowers and give them away.
    48. Now that she’s gone, you can use magic on the wall decoration. Now folded up, you can leave and enter the stone hallway of the castle. Chase the ghost into the foreground, then turn left.
    49. Following the left path, there are two things to note. First, you’ll pass a cauldron. Cauldrons allow Harry or anyone else you control to drink one of four special potions. Each offers a unique effect. The only potion you have access to now is the strength potion.
    50. The ghost will head down the stairs, but left of the steps, you’ll find a snakey-panel. Interact, and the four colored panels will light up. Follow the pattern of colors and copy it to free a student in peril.
    51. Now, head down stairs. Follow the ghost down the large stairwell and through the main hall. Follow the ghost up some more steps and into the classroom.
    52. After a short cutscene, you’ll be in class with Ron, Harry, and Hermione. First thing’s first, pick up the shovel on the desk and give it to one of the brothers in the back of the classroom. In exchange he’ll give you… well, something. Pick it up!
    53. Head back to the front of the class and interact with the green Lego snake panel. Follow the pattern of lights and copy it back – for us, it was green, red, blue, yellow. Place the Lego brick on the projector for a little show.
    54. Now, return to the back of the class room. Near the stairwell you’ll see a treasure chest. Hit it with a magic attack to spill out hopping bricks. Construct the bricks to form a cauldron.
    55. You need three ingredients for the cauldron. A vial, a boney arm, and a flower. The vial you received from the brother wanting a shovel, go search for it near him on the ground if you didn’t pick it up.
    56. For the next, look for a purple broom underneath a cobweb. Pick up the broom with magic, then lift it up to brush the cobwebs, dropping the purple Lego flower.
    57. For the Lego bone, look on the right side of the classroom for a hanging cage and a weight. Aim your magic and shoot the weight. The treasure chest will keep flying around! Aim for the treasure chest and hit it with magic to find the bone.
    58. Deposit each of the three ingredients into the cauldron as you find them. With the cauldron ready, interact and drink the strength potion. It looks like a flexing minifigure!
    59. With your improved strength, look just right of the cauldron for a cubbard. Tear it open and construct the hopping bricks that spill out.
    60. With another short cutscene, most of your magic will be banned from Hogwarts! What a bummer. If you didn’t realize yet, any wizard comes equipped with several magic spells. Just tap the triggers or shoulder buttons to cycle between Harry’s different spells.
    61. The ghostly pointer leads to a locked door. To find the key, switch to Hermione or Ron, and cycle to their green spell. This spell summons their pet.
    62. With the pet summoned, move it into the clear blue tube, climb up, and move towards the Lego skull and books to knock them over. The key is now on the ground! Switch back to Harry, Hermione, or Ron to pick that key up.
    63. With the key, deposit it into the door and turn. Now that the door is open, continue your tour of Hogwarts.
    64. Follow your ghostly guide down the steps and left through the open door. In the main hall, up the stairs, you’ll reach another blocked wall. The student here wants a spoon, but the dancing kid down the steps won’t give his up.
    65. Switch to Harry and select his green spell – activating it will give Harry an invisibility cloak. Walk up to the dancing student to scare him away, and he’ll leave the spoon behind. Pick it up and give it to the student upstairs.
    66. Give the student his spoon, and he’ll give you a crate full of bones. Use magic on the crate to feed the bones to the statue of a lion’s head, opening up the wall to reveal a stairwell leading down. Continue after the ghost, down the steps, and towards a group of green vines blocking your way in the courtyard.
    67. Switch to Lumos, or the white spell where Harry holds up his wand like a torch. Nearing the green Lego vines with this spell active will scare them away.
    68. Follow the ghost across the bridge and onto the green grass outside the school. Down the hill, you’ll find a fence surrounded by pumpkins, and another door blocked by green vines. Switch back to Lumos to scare the vines off!
    69. Now, enter the wooden gate and to the forest entrance.
    70. In the forest, you’ll be teamed up with Luna again. Your goal here is to feed all three of the skeleton horses. Find the first horse at the top of the path leading up as you move right into the forest.
    71. Up the path, you’ll see a green vine monster protecting a tree. Use Lumos to defeat the vine monster with two blasts, then use magic on the tree. Opening the branches will spill out more Lego bricks. Interact with the bricks to build a fishing pole.
    72. Use magic to move the pole over the pond and catch a fish! Pick up the newly caught fish and give it to the skeletal horse.
    73. One horse down, two to go. Continue right towards a bubbling swamp. Use the rock to jump across and then use Lumos to defeat the nearby vine monster. With it defeated, smash and construct the left-over hopping bricks, then move them on top of the large boulder switch, making it sink into the ground.
    74. Run into the hollowed out tree trunk and exit the other side. Across, you’ll find more mushroom men. Defeat them, then use magic on the yellow Lego plant near the cliff. Opening it will force new green leaf platforms to grow. Use the leaves to climb up the cliffside, and meet a second horse.
    75. The horse wants a chicken leg. Attack the red Lego brick plant and it will spit out a chicken leg. Pick it up and give it to the skeleton horse.
    76. Two down, one left! Jump down the cliff and look right for a stream. In the background, you’ll see a natural dam of Lego bricks. Jump into the crevasse and attack the wood to break it and reveal hopping bricks! Construct the bricks into a bridge. Use your new bridge to enter a new area.
    77. This third horse wants a fish too. Over the bubbling swamp to your right, you’ll see a Lego parrot hanging out on a Lego tree branch. Use magic to swat the bird and make it spit out the blue fish you need.
    78. Give the fish away and all three horses will be done. That unlocks the Thestrals!
    79. Back in the fields, follow the ghost back through the wooden gate, and over the bridge back into Hogwarts. He’ll lead you through the courtyard, up the steps, down the main hall, through the right doorway, into the huge stairwell, and back to your lounge.

    Frustrated

    On November 22, 2011 at 8:40 pm

This is probably the least helpful walkthrough I’ve ever read. I was unable to find the 3rd horse and after reading this garbage, I was even MORE frustrated. I went to youtube and found a walkthrough. I then came BACK to this site and I see where you’re missing information.

    VERY BAD WALKTHROUGH.

    Hey Confused,

We apologize for the confusion! Here’s how you spin-up a thrown Lego Brick.

When a brick is thrown at your character, hit the magic button. Simply hold that button down and press the movement stick in the direction you want to throw the break. Either release the magic button to throw the bricks, or just keep spinning them until they’re automatically thrown.

I hope that helps, and goodluck!

Umm, I can’t get past the boss fight in Not So Merry Christmas. My Wingardiam Leviosa spell NEVER stops the glowing purple items Bellatrix keeps throwing at me. This is frustrating and there really isn’t any other way to progress in the game otherwise. Is there any other way to end the battle?

to throw things om xbox360: hold B, then move the joystick you walk with as if you were moving forwards. then let go and it will fly and hit its target.
to use dark magic: wait untill u get for example Bellatrix, tom riddle, buy them at madam malkins and pick them in free play.

Hi I thought this walkthrough was very helpful, you should do a character token walkthrough to tell everyone what characters there are and where to find them I woul find that helpful also you should tell where gold and red bricks are. If you did that Everyone could finish the game to 100%. Thank You very much

    carrie

    On December 30, 2011 at 11:02 am

For the PS3 guys, when spinning the objects at the bad guys, be sure you’re using the “O” button instead of the “[]” button. I always use the square button for magic but it didn’t work on spinning and was rather frustrating.

    LogansMommy0224

    On December 30, 2011 at 8:21 pm

I have the same problem as Lysis. I’m in the dungeons in the DOBBY! level and need the key but I don’t know how to “roll” into the bookcase to get it like the walkthrough says. I tried the cart thing but I can’t drive it or even push it. I even tried to use Pigwidgeon (Ron’s spazzy owl to knock it down). Nothing. How do I get the key down? I’m playing on a Wii. Thanks. Also on another walkthrough I read, it talked about trophies/achievements; are those for the Wii version of the game too or just the PS3 version?

Hi. I’m not actually stuck on a level, but could anybody please tell me where can I find a character to unlock that can use dark magic? A lot of the stuff in levels can’t be unlocked without dark magic, so if anybody knows where to find a character, where exactly can I find it around Hogwarts grounds, or if in a level, where exactly in the level??
    Sorry for long comment

I’m stuck trying to get the green crest piece on Dumbledore’s Army. I see it in the window of the tea shop but I’m not sure how to open the door.

    Miles

    On December 31, 2011 at 3:44 pm

For the Lovegood’s Lunacy thingy for throwing te pumpkins you must guide the pumpkin to the left. I was confused too. Just hold circle to levitate it and tilt the analog to the left and wait until it spins and strikes death. Do that three times. Adam when you finish the very last level you receive Bellatrix Lestrange. Specifically after you duel her. Michelle I’m stuck on that too. I can’t figure it out as well.

    Sabrina

    On December 31, 2011 at 8:15 pm

You have to use a dark character to take control of the person inside the shop to get the crest Michelle and Miles.

I have the same problem as David in “MAGIC IS MIGHT”. I do not seem tro be able to move fast enough to grab the Slytherin Crest before the Dementors frost cloud touches me and Idie. Is there any trick that anyone knows or do I have to jut move faster. It’s flustrating because you have to play through the whole level each time you get killed because the game does not let you return to the ststue.

To Corrine-if you are playing alone, be the woman with the key. Dumbledore will go in the elevator and then you, as the woman, unlock the elevator. Then be Dumbledore again. That way he doesn’t get squashed by the elevator.

    On January 8, 2012 at 2:56 pm

Jay I figured out the workman in the first level “Dark Times at the Ministry of Magic” In The Ministry of Magic go to this workman as a dark Character. and go to your Yellow Spell. it is not focus on dark characters it is the Imperius Curse. use it on the Crew man and he will blow up the Coffee Machine. Next rebuild it into a cleaner and ride it around all the Gray spots on the floor. this will give you studs nothing else so it is not necessary for 100% but good if you really want to do everything.

This is getting silly now! I have been on “A Veiled Threat” for over an hour and looked up every walkthrough and video on YouTube there is and there is not one solution to the “throwing objects” problem. I (also) can pick up the objects for a few seconds but they will not spin and no matter what button I press or joystick (Xbox) I waggle it just falls to the floor in about a second. Is there ANYONE in the universe that can give a DETAILED explanation to what the 100s of people who’ve asked the same question are doing wrong or what we should be doing?! Not just pick it up with magic then move the joystick because IT SIMPLY DOESN’T WORK!

THANK YOU for explaining the pumpkin throwing in the Book 7 part 1. I was stuck on it forever, went to two walkthroughs and this was the only one who explained how to do it, i was aiming up and to the left, just aim straight left. was so frustrated!!!! THANK YOU, You WL the pumpkins and when you spin to throw, aim straight left, not up at all. Release either magic of joystick and goes right to death. stuck for over an hour on this, just passed thank you!

This is for the Wii. For people having trouble throwing ojects press and hold Z when an object it thrown at you and it should get held in the air, the push the control stick in the direction you want to throw and the obect should start spinning. When you want to throw the object release the Z button and the object should fly into your target.

on Felix Felicis: to get the cauldron — there is a “mole” sticking out of a hole to the left of the cauldron. target him and press x he will move around to the other “dirt” holes. Keep blowing him up and he eventually moves the where the cauldron is and pushes off so you can turn it over. This is for the Xbox 360.

I have the Wii. I have tried and tried to throw the first pumpkin in Lovegood’s Lunacy, to no avail. I have followed everything that everybody has suggested, pointed straight to the LEFT, not up at all, but in my game, Wingardium Leviosa does not hold long enough to even spin the stupid pumpkin. It lifts, it moves the pumpkin a bit to the left, and drops. Then the WL doesn’t work at all until I use brother 1 or 2 to wand-shoot the pumpkin back to the right and try again.

I have already contacted WB about this, and they had no solution. I sent back my game, waiting three freaking months for a replacement, only to find the same glitch exists in exactly the same spot in the replacement game. Is there anybody else out there who absolutely cannot get past this point? It is driving me mad.

There is NO throwing the pumpkin it just kind of falls to the ground. I have been stuck on this scene all day & cant get any further.

    Kevin Thielenhaus

    On January 2, 2013 at 10:51 am

    @Frustrated,

This is actually a little tricky, but I think I’ve found a solution. While the pumpkins spin in the air, push and hold left to send the pumpkins flying. To make the pumpkins rise up, either use Z (Wii-Version) or B (Xbox-Version) or, I believe Circle (PS3-Version). When they rise up and spin around, hold your movement stick toward Death to lock-on to him. Getting it just right can be tricky.

    Kevin Thielenhaus

    On January 23, 2013 at 9:35 am

    @anikole,

Hmm! How weird, is Dumbledore dying from anything on screen, or is it just happening when the lift is raised? That’s definitely not supposed to happen.

Try playing only as Ms. Cole, and using magic to lift up the platform instead of playing as Dumbledore. Have you tried only playing as Ms. Cole for this section? The AI Dumbledore should automatically step onto the lift, then get off once it’s been fully raised up. He might even automatically jump off and open the way forward, or at least get somewhere so you can easily switch back.

I don’t know if that will work, let us know! Goodluck!

    Kevin Thielenhaus

    On January 24, 2013 at 7:49 pm

    @Joe,

To make minifigs with question marks work, you’ll need someone with a yellow spell. Hit them with a yellow spell, and they’ll give you things. It’s as simple as that! Not all of these guys are required to finish the game though, some might be optional on your first playthrough.

Nope, you don’t need to have played 1-4 first to finish 5-7. But, this guide is all for the PS3/360/PC version, and doesn’t go into detail how to complete some of the Wii-specific challenges.

Like most challenges in the game, you might be missing something in the room. Try destroying whatever you can to discover hopping bricks or ingredients. If you’re still having problems, could you explain exactly what you’re missing?

Thanks for the comment, and goodluck!

I think you should make a video along with this information. This is very helpful though.

I’m a bit confused, on Felix Felicus you said to scare away some vines, but the only vines I can see are ones that need Dark Magic.

Do you need Dark Magic or can I not see the vines?

    @J.C.T

As, I see! The plants on the right — ignore those, you only need to free the hopping bricks held down by the green vines next to the dead spider. Destroy all the destructable LEGO plants in the area and they’ll go away, I believe. It might only take attacking the green vines, too.

Magic is might – last crest. Been at this for over well over 6 months on the Wii. The only thing I have to get in the game. Any ideas? Have tried sticking to the left but I die when I run into the statue. Have tried being the dog because I think he can run faster. Since I’ve retired, trying to complete this level is becoming an obsession.

How do I get slug horn to take the dang beer in “just desserts”??

    @Jord,

Some of the puzzles can be really tricky. Don’t forget to place the beer in the keg to fill it up first, then you can give it to Slughorn.

When I selected the return to Hub option after Magic is Might (in the 1st part of Deathly Hallows year) I was skipped to the first level in the 2nd part. Now I cant seem to play the rest the first part of year 7. Anyone esle have this issue?

Great help! By the way….A Giant Virtuoso starts in Umbridge’s office, not Dumbledore’s.

A Veiled Threat starts in the Department of Mysteries…not an orb storehouse…or can you not use the proper terms?

    Hey there.

I’m struggling to go up the lift in the out of retirement flash back scene with Dumbledore and Mrs Cole. Ive done what the walkthrough says and watched a video doing the same thing. But by me Dumbledore keeps dying. I’ve done it several ways but he just keeps dying. He keeps going in the middle and I’ve read that he must be at the back but he doesn’t stay there. I don’t know if it is a glitch in the game or must I just keep trying. I love playing the game but can’t go any further.

Is there a walk through for the part where you leave through the back door of the Leaky Cauldron, and wander around as the trio? I know there are character badges and red bricks, but I can’t find them all.
