The Battle of Pelennor Fields

The level begins with a bang! You’re riding on a horse through the Orc armies. Just keep attacking and enjoy the show.

Before long the Black Rider arrives to ruin the fun. In this battle, you’ll have Merry and Eowyn to fight the evil dragon-like creature.

The Nazghul’s mount will attack by smashing its wings into the ground to make black energy hone in on you. Or, it will screech, temporarily stunning anyone that gets too close.

Fight off the Orcs that try to attack, and wait for the Nazghul’s monster to bash it’s head onto the ground. When it does, you’ll see a glowing Lego brick on the head while it is stunned. This is your chance to attack.

Attack the head three times in a row while it’s stunned. Follow this pattern two more times, and the Rider himself will appear and attack.

The Rider is no push-over. He swings his giant mace and sends black energy honing in on you. To hurt him, construct the hopping bricks on the right side of the arena to form a brown Lego floor.

You’ll notice there are pointers aiming at these brown Lego floors. Stand on them, and wait for the Rider to attack. If he gets close, move away just as he begins to swing the mace.

If the mace lands on the Lego floor, he’ll be stuck. Use Eowyn to attack the Rider while he’s stuck. Destroy one of the plants on the forward-left section of the arena to uncover another brown Lego floor to use.

Hit him three times this way, and he’ll grab Eowyn. While she’s held, switch to Merry and interact on the gold circle. That will free Eowyn.

What did he say? “No man may kill me.” Switch to Eowyn once she’s free, stand in the gold circle, and interact to finish this monster off once and for all.

In the following scene, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are on the scene. Switch to Legolas and shoot arrows into the two Arrow-slots on the legs of the elephant.

Once both arrows are in, jump to the low slot, then to the high slow. Turn around, then jump to the rope and climb up to fight up close and personal with the bad guys on this elephant.

Defeat all four soldiers, then jump up and defeat the tamer. A gold circle will appear, allowing Legolas to interact and finally defeat one of the two elephants.

The second elephant is protected by Morgul Lego objects around its ankles. Smash one of these with Aragorn to make the elephant fall down. Now, mash the attack button to defeat the second elephant.

Three more elephants will arrive! But, you know what to do. Defeat the elephants with Morgul Lego objects by destroying the objects with Aragorn, then mashing attack.

The other type of Elephant requires Legolas. Shoot two arrows into the slots, jump up and climb the rope, then defeat the guards. Defeat the tamer at the top, then interact with the gold circle that appears to finish this monster off.

Defeat all three new elephants, and you’ll complete the level. Off to Mordor and the Black Gate!

Osgiliath

Follow the path running alongside the city until you reach the river. There’s a boat, use Legolas to shoot the target here, lowering the bridge across.

Ride through the mountains and into the swamps. The ghostly studs will show you to a narrow bridge that Legolas and the rest can cross, but not on foot.

Switch to Legolas, ahead you’ll find four targets in the water. To cross through the marsh, shoot each target with an arrow to create a new platform. Jump from platform to platform, and you’ll reach solid ground. It’s just a straight shot out of the marshlands.

Riders are waiting for you through the pass ahead. When you rejoin them, the next mission will begin.
