    At the first ghost stub point, use Black Widow’s cloaking device to hide from the camera and pull the switch.

    At the second location, target the Lego sign above the sushi place with Hawkeye. Shoot an arrow into the Arrow Slot and build the hopping bricks. Jump to the arrow in the slot to uncover a secret Hydra base.

    Get to the first elevator with Black Widow’s cloak, ride up, and wall-jump up to the computer consoles above the lift. Blast the TV screens and the weird generator to shut off the cameras.

    Ride Hawkeye up the elevator and construct the hopping bricks on the second level. Jump onto the lever to reveal silver machinery in the turning device to the right of the lift. Blast it with Hawkeye’s targeted attack.

    At the next background door, smash the blue boxes and construct the pieces into a security terminal for Black Widow to use.

    Move the coils into the positions above to open the giant science door. Progress! Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, joins the two in the next room.

    Fly into the background and shoot the gold wall with Storm’s stream of fire to reveal a computer panel. Use the computer with Black Widow.

    Match each laser configuration with the shape in the lower left corner of the screen. Completing this mini-game will create a bridge against the back wall of the chamber.

    Pull the lever to the right of the new bridge to activate the elevator. Sneak by the camera up the steps with Black Widow and smash the machinery inside to let the rest of your heroes get by.

    Switch to Hawkeye and target the plug to create a rope. Characters attached to a rope can swing left and right back-and-forth for longer jumps.

    Jump across with Black Widow and Hawkeye. Grab the rope with Hawkeye while Black Widow operates the terminal, moving Hawkeye across the gap.

    Use Hawkeye to break the pull handle, then pull the lever that appears. The covers will raise, revealing gold bricks for Johnny Storm to destroy. Shoot the arrow plug with Hawkeye behind the gold brick to make acrobat poles appear. Now Widow can get across the pit too.

    Once more, use Black Widow’s invisibility to sneak by the camera and deadly turrets. Use the spinning platforms to ride across the gap in the lava generator and pull the lever to turn the security off.

    Use Hawkeye to tear off the pull handle against the right edge of the screen, and the heroes will stumble upon Hydra’s warheard storage room.

    Cut through the gold wall, with Human Torch, and climb up to the catwalks guarded by Hydra soldiers. Hawkeye’s explosive arrows can destroy the silver Lego machine here.

    Construct the hopping bricks, wall-jump with Widow, and cloak to sneak by the turrets to the security terminal. She’ll force the turrets to destroy each other, but leave behind a couple of tough soldiers.

    The two guards are protected with gold vests. Fly above them and burn off the vests with Human Torch’s fire beam to defeat them.

    In the next room, Captain America finally joins in on the fun.

    To damage Red Skull, enter shield-stance with Captain America and hit the attack button when you’re in close proximity to the noseless fascist.

    The next two hearts won’t be as easy. You’ll need to destroy turrets for each phase. The foreground turrets only require a lever be pulled and Johnny Storm to destroy the gold bricks beneath and finally smashing the blocks that appear.

    To destroy the background turrets, construct the nearby hopping bricks into a Shield Switch. Activate the switch, then follow the same steps.

    After smashing two turrets, Red Skull will return. Shield and attack to knock off another heart, then repeat the process.

    Take off his last heart to complete the mission. Now it’s time to go after Loki!

    Where do you purchase characters in the game…I can’t find the room

    Kevin Thielenhaus

    On October 25, 2013 at 8:59 am

    @Ron,

    To purchase characters, you just hold down the switch-characters button to bring up the menu. Weirdly, it doesn’t work for every character — you can’t bring up the menu with Hulk or Spider-Man for instance. And, the menu only seems to appear during free mode when you’re not on the main campaign path.

    Um, how about NON-Lego Marvel heroes?? When will ever see THAT? Like a AAA co-op Avengers title with some big semi-open levels?

    To actually buy the characters when you aren’t in free mode, go to a Shield terminal (the blue terminals) and activate it. Go to Characters. It will get you the grid to buy the characters.

    How do I get up to the dish and swing across me and my son can not figure it out

    Kevin Thielenhaus

    On November 11, 2013 at 11:29 am

    @Emily,

    If you’re having trouble with the rooftops in the second level, start with Mr. Fantastic.

    He can jump across the gap and glide (Press Jump a second time) to reach the rooftop on the right. Look above for a building interior with glass windows, on the right side there should be a glowing handle.

    Stand underneath that with Mr. Fantastic to pull the handle, which will destroy the wall and dump down some hopping bricks. Construct the bricks into a ladder, then climb up into the building where Mr. Fantastic can run around behind the glass windows.

    Smash all the Lego objects behind the glass windows to reveal even more bouncing Lego bricks. Those construct into a turn-style with a green side and a red side. Push on the green side, and the poles for Captain America to use on the dish should line up correctly.

    I hope that helps! If you’re still having trouble, please feel free to e-mail me or leave us another comment.

    @nolen,

    Glimmering little ghost studs should lead Black Widow and Hawkeye to a couple of store-fronts. You can check out how to complete the puzzles at the very start of the “Red Head Detention” level walkthrough. Hope that helps you!

    There seems to be a glitch when I make the Fantasticar appear to try to start the Latveria level. The ground turns and I see the vehicle but then it seems to fall and disappear. I can sometimes pick it up the invisible vehicle with characters like Hulk but I can’t get in it to start the mission. Have you heard of anything like this? Is there a way around this?

    My 4 year old loves to play, but he doesn’t listen well and isn’t very patient (go figure…) Is there an easy way to find the start of the next level? My son always pushes the “skip” button at the end of each level, right when it is explaining where to to next, and we spend hours running around trying to find where the next level starts. I can easily find levels we’ve already beaten, I just need a way to find the start of the next part of the story in New York City.

    Thanks for the help!

    On December 29, 2013 at 6:02 pm

    @Becky

    Just follow the holographic man leaving a trail blue studs – he’ll always lead you back to the start of the level even if you go for a wander around New York (if you seem to have wandered too far away just stop a vehicle and press the letter/symbol indicated to commandeer it and follow the hologuy that way).

    Becky

    On December 29, 2013 at 9:51 pm

    @ Dave
    Thank you, but that seems to be my problem. I don’t have a holographic guy leaving blue studs…I have a holographic Deadpool leaving red studs if I place a marker on the map, but no blue studs. I think we may have reached a point in the game where we need to collect more gold bricks to move on, or at least that seems to be the case. Am I right? We’ve found several bricked over doors that look like the beginnings of new levels but then a number pops up when I get close like 27/50 with the image of a gold brick next to the numbers. I figured I just had to run around completing side quests and getting gold bricks before we’ll be allowed to continue. Does the story line halt if you don’t have enough gold bricks? (remember I’m playing with a 4 year old who can’t be convinced of the importance of clearing a level before moving on…we often don’t get all the stuff in each level before he’s ready to “get more guys!”)
    Again, Thanks for the help!

    hey, some brown bricks are missing in front of the deadpool missions, how can i find them?

    Dave

    On December 30, 2013 at 6:08 pm

    @Becky
    I’m only up to Magnetic Personality but, as far as I know, you should be able to complete the story mode as long as you have completed the previous levels.

    It might be worth going back to the Helicarrier control room to check what’s been completed in the story mode. If you’ve completed the story mode but only have a low completion score on some of the levels it’s possible that you’re missing parts of the minikits that are only available in story mode. Fortunately you can just replay these missions to boost the score and get the parts.

    You then need to go through the levels again in free play mode to get the rest of the parts of the minikits (some parts need character skills that aren’t available in story mode (magnetic abilities, etc) to get the parts), as well as completing the various side missions and Stan Lee rescues.

    So when I get in asteroid M it won’t let me blow up or destroy the silver.
    Thor will get his beam thing in the right place and it will move. I’m not doing
    It, it’ll just move on it’s on. So I’m not able to leave it there long enough
    To destroy it. WTF?!

    My 5 year old son has played all the levels and wants Magneto for some of the bonus levels. I cannot find out where or how to buy magneto…he doesn’t come up. I made him replay the magneto level 13 and the final level because I thought he should unlock once those levels were beat and maybe it was a glitch, Well I still cannot find Magneto. Help!

    Kevin Thielenhaus

    On January 22, 2014 at 3:45 pm

    @Alison: Hmm! Magneto should unlock after finishing level 13. Magneto is usually located in the lower right corner of the screen, a few rows up from the bottom.

    does anyone know who the other mandarin is? i have the one with the red suit already

    Phoenix2312

    On February 2, 2014 at 9:42 am

    For the person asking about Mandarin… He was a Popular villain for Iron Man and Captain America during the late 60′s to Early 70′s. Personally I was never a fan… He was a very intelligent man but with no real powers except wealth and “Political Influence” – Think David Cameron with Attitude and ideas an you are half way there…

    PC Version has many bugs… If you are struggling on the PC:

    Turn all settings to low and play in 800×600 Resolution
    Jumps are a big issue… But I found if I got stuck on a rail (IE: After Doc Ock… Neither Hawkeye nor Black Widow could use the poles properly…) if I paused and resumed, it would interrupt the flow and the character would jump.

    The other fix is to use the Free Program Cheat Engine and use its “SpeedHack” function… My Laptop has enough processor and graphics to run the game well, but when a lot is going on (Which is often) it lags really bad making some tasks impossible.

    By Slowing or Speeding the game up with the speedhack, I managed to sure most issues.

    Sadly, it is yet another bugged lego title which is annoying – Still! Love the game!
