Just based on the word alone, my first guess would be that a “LUP” was an animal sidekick from an 80′s cartoon (much like Snarf in Thundercats). Sadly, I’d be very wrong. “LUP” is actually an acronym for “LEGO Universe Partners,” a group of engineers and professionals from various fields that have come together to help make LEGO Universe. This trailer shows how NetDevil was able to bring these people under their wing and apply their expertise to the upcoming MMO. Their work will help expand the existing groundwork for the game, but players will be able to create their own objects and environments as well. And knowing the internet, I have a feeling a lot of those will be very, erm, “phallic” in appearance.
