Little Inferno Lets You Burn Yesterday’s Toys Today

Tomorrow Corporation, a three-person indie formed by the devs behind World of Goo and Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure, has made its debut with today’s release of Little Inferno on Steam. Announced a few months back and covered here before, the title is built on a concept familiar to anyone who ever subjected their G.I. Joe action figures to a fiery death. Essentially, you stuff a fireplace full of old recalled toys and watch them burn, playing with them as they’re reduced to ash.

It’s a twisted little game that’s meant to be played in short bursts, as you buy things to burn, get coins for burning them, and use that money to buy more things to burn — an igneous cycle. Certain combinations of items, when burned, unlock more objects to set ablaze, so there’s some strategy involved. But mostly it’s about burning things.
