LittleBigPlanet 2 Won’t Come With Move Support At Launch

While LittleBigPlanet has long been seen as a Move title, the game will not come with full Move support when it’s released in January. Instead, it will come with, either on-disc or on a separate disc, a 10-level Move demo, and then sometime down the line it will get a Move DLC pack and a free Move update. Here’s a quote from Media molecule community manager James Spafford — speaking to Eurogamer — ┬áthat basically says what I just said:

With the main game there will be an extra game — possibly on another disc, maybe on the same disk — that will contain 10-ish levels that demonstrate how Move could work with LittleBigPlanet 2.

And shortly after release we’ll do a full DLC pack that’s purely Move, and we’ll give away the free controls so people can make their own Move levels as well.

You do what you gotta do to make the game the best it can be, I guess. And I’m not gonna cry about them delaying full Move support for that reason. The game hits the PS3 in January.
