Logitech Untangles G930 7.1 Headset

Wires are often a given with high end, high quality audio but apparently Logitech has found a way to make its 7.1 surround sound headsets wireless.

The new G930 features 2.4Ghz wireless transmission of audio from sound card to speakers and claims to work up to 40 feet from the transmitter. Nice, but who sits 40 feet away from their system? (Oh, you mean I can also listen to music in my headset without being tethered to my PC? Ok I’m sold.)

Since we’re gamers though the important features of the G930 include a noise cancelling mic, three software programmable shortcut buttons to trigger things like voice chat and a comfortable memory foam headrest. All these added to the simulated 7.1 surround make the G930 seem like a nice upgrade if you’re in the market for a $160 headset.
