Looking To Make a Game? Ask Indie Fund for Money!

indiefund IndieFund is looking to spend some money on new independent games and and they’re asking for submissions to find some.

The fund’s investors include creators of successful indie games like Braid and World of Goo. Got a great idea for a game? Apply for some cash here. You’ll need a good idea and a video to show it off.

The fund’s goals include “looking to encourage the next wave of game developers” and to “support the growth of games as a medium by helping indie developers get (and stay) financially independent.” Noble goals, indeed.

Games that gain funding don’t have set milestones for development and just monthly build updates to show that the game is, in fact, real and and after the game is released, revenue after repaying the investment is split between the developer and Indie Fund. But if the game should flop, after three years, if the loan can’t be repaid, the developer no longer owes Indie Fund anything.
