Looks Like DOTA 2 Might Be Shown at Gamescom

Valve is listed as an exhibitor at German games convention Gamescom next month, and it sounds like the maker of the WarCraft III mod Defense of the Ancients could be showing off its sequel at the con.

You can check out Valve’s spot on the exhibitor list on Gamescom‘s website, where it says the developer is showing off some kind of game software in the “Strategy” category. DotA 2 is a real-time strategy title that’s coming this year sometime, and there’s nothing else (that we know of) in Valve’s repertoire that fits that description. Valve has said the game is coming but hasn’t given many details beyond that to date.

Gamescom starts July 17 and runs to the 21st, so we’ll bring you more updates when the conference gets into swing.
