Luftrausers Takes Flight in Two Weeks

You’d never know it by the 8-bit presentation, but Vlambeer (Nuclear Throne, Ridiculous Fishing) has been working on its old-school air combat game, Luftrausers, since 2011. We’ll finally get to shoot up the skies when it’s released on March 18.

It started out as a simple indie flash game, Luftrauser, that Vlambeer made in two days and that you can play right now, for free. That basic, addictive formula has been added to extensively, with more than 100 missions and 125-plus different combinations of weapons, bodies, and propulsion systems. The result is Luftrausers, and it will hit PC, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in two weeks for $10. See what you’ll be getting into below:

Also of note: if you’ve got 100 friends, money to burn, and you’re into gifting, you can purchase 100 Steam keys via the Air Raid Pack for Luftrausers for $750.
