Mad Catz Eclipse litetouch Keyboards Includes LCD Display and Integrated Trackball

eclipse-litetouchMad Catz is making more news today. Hot on the heels of the Call of Duty Accessory renewal, the company sent word that its Eclipse litetouch Keyboards are now shipping to retail. If you’re looking for an all-in-one HTPC wireless keyboard, the Eclipse line has always delivered with bright backlighting and quiet key press. The programmable LCD and built in trackball are icing on the cake. I’ve owned three Saitek Eclipse models and won’t consider any other make, especially when I’m playing at a dark LAN party.

The new keyboards feature an integrated trackball and an interesting 3-in-1 LCD touch panel which offers traditional number pad functionality as well as dedicated media control and “MyEclipse” programmable keys that users can customize to perform one button operations like launching their favorite games or applications.

There are two versions of the keyboard – a wireless option, which uses the 2.4Ghz wireless band and promises up to 20 hours of  battery life on its internal rechargeable battery and the desktop USB model which also features a metal finish and angled desktop-oriented design.

Both models share the 3-in-1 LCD functionality. The keyboards’ drivers support Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The wireless model retails for $130 while the wired version is expected to cost $100. The Eclipse Wireless litetouch is on sale at Best Buy and already but the wired version goes on sale in July.
