Mafia II Developer Diary Shows You How to Take Care of Business
There have been a ton of games based around the Mafia. Some of them good, some bad, and some indifferent. One of the better ones was the aptly titled Mafia, from Illusion Softworks and Gathering of Developers. Released back in 2002 for PC, PS2 and XBox, Mafia dropped you right into the underworld of the 1930s, challenging you to rise from foot soldier to made man.
This August, Illusion (now known as 2K Czech) is bringing the Mafia series back to life with Mafia II. In Mafia II, you’ll play as Vito, a beaten down Italian American who is trying to secure his piece of the American Dream. Vito descends into the underworld of the late 1940′s and early 50′s to try and make his fortune.
So, any Mafia game needs guns, fistfights, and wild driving, right? Well, 2K has released a developer diary that shows just how you take care of business in gunfights, car chases, and melee combat. You can download it over at FileFront, or you can stream it after the break.
