Magazine Confirms Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer

Well, it looks like the Mass Effect 3 feature no one wanted — multiplayer — is actually happening. Australian mag PC Powerplay seemingly confirms on their website that BioWare did take away valuable development time from the climax of their epic space opera in order to implement multiplayer:

That’s right – Mass Effect 3 is getting multiplayer! We travel to BioWare’s office in Edmonton for hands-on time with the series’ first foray into online gameplay, and chat with Mass Effect Series Producer and Mass Effect 3 Project Director Casey Hudson about the decision to go multiplayer in the epic battle for the galaxy.

Can I get a gah damn it? You’re killin’ me, BioWare. Killin’ me.

Why is everyone so upset about this? The multiplayer doesn’t interfere with the singleplayer experience which is what people play ME for so who cares if it has multiplayer or not?
