Major Nelson has issued a warning on his blog not to share your account information with anyone, even if they sound really nice and promise to get you every achievement there is. Giving out your Live ID and password allows others to recover your gamertag, but they could very easily start downloading Arcade games, movies and TV shows, charging you many many Microsoft Points. And Microsoft’s only course of action will be to cancel the account. Bye bye saves, Gamerscore, and all the rest – not what you’d call an ideal situation.
Additionally, Major says you shouldn’t tamper with Achievements and Gamerscore. If you manipulate your way into a higher Gamerscore, Microsoft won’t hesitate to strip you of all those Achievements (never to be unlocked again) or even ban your account.
