If you haven’t already seen Mariah Carey’s Nescafe, then allow me to say it’s as crazy as she allegedly is. It’s no secret that celebrities tend to sell out and do commercials in far off lands. The governator did it. So did Ben Stiller. And now, Mariah Carey has joined the ranks of celebrities featured in Japanese commercials.
The commercial features spoofs of Mortal Kombat, FIFA, and a racing game. One thing that I don’t understand though is how in the hell is Mariah Carey able to beat that Japanese guy in each and every game? You would think the Japanese eat, sleep, and breath video games, so he’d be able to take her out. Maybe he was just distracted by her hotness to take the games serious. Either way, Mimi wins in each and every game. And you gotta love how they slip in the mention of the prices for the PSone and PS2 at the end of the commercial. Can you say subliminal? I knew that you could.

@Sonja
Gaming Today wasn’t around in the year 2000. Hell, I wasn’t even in college yet in 2000. God forbid I try to entertain a couple of the readers here with something that isn’t Manhunt 2 related.

you gotta love the latest one.
Softbank(formerly Vodafone Japan) featuring Cameron Diaz.
She never speaks a word…she speaks on the phone but we dont hear her voice!
But she impresses as she energetically walks down the sidewalk…like a fuzzy blonde who is having a really really good day….
Actually nobody else couldve looked that good in that role.
Japanese love it (that confidence she has) too.
